Common questions
Can you set up a used PCM from a salvage yard?
In many cases, yes. We clone your original into it. Without the original, a new module usually has to be programmed in the vehicle, so that's not something we do by mail. Send both part numbers and we'll confirm.
Will my keys still work?
With a clone, yes: the security data comes over from your original. For other cases we'll explain what's needed before any work.
Related
Send the original if you have it. With your original and the replacement together, most modules can be cloned plug-and-play on our bench. If the original is gone, mail-in programming is available on supported applications, but some setups (security, immobilizer or network initialization) have to be finished with the vehicle present. We'll tell you before you ship.
