Used ECU programming
Bought a used engine or transmission computer and the car won't start or throws codes? It's still set up for the car it came from. We fix that.

How we make it work
- Clone from your original (best): we copy your old module into the used one, so it matches your VIN, keys and options
- No original? Email us the part number first. A few modules can be set up on our bench, but many need the vehicle, and we'll tell you before you ship.
Why a used module won't just plug in
Modules store the VIN, security data and options of the car they came from. Your car sees a stranger and refuses to start, or runs with warnings. Cloning from your original fixes the mismatch.
Clones start at $299. Cloning from your original starts at $299.
- Price confirmed before you ship
- Original data saved before any work
- Tracked return shipping
- 90-day workmanship warranty
Common questions
Do I need my old module?
It helps a lot. With the original we can clone it, which is the most reliable fix. Without it, we'll tell you whether programming is possible for your module before you ship.
Does the used module have to be the same part number?
Usually it should match or be a direct replacement. Send both part numbers and we'll check before you ship.
Is this legal?
Yes, when it's your vehicle. We require proof of ownership for anything involving keys or VIN, and we never change a VIN to disguise a vehicle.

Send the original if you have it. With your original and the replacement together, most modules can be cloned plug-and-play on our bench. If the original is gone, mail-in programming is available on supported applications, but some setups (security, immobilizer or network initialization) have to be finished with the vehicle present. We'll tell you before you ship.
