L5P E41 ECM unlock
The E41 engine computer on 2017+ L5P Duramax trucks is locked and has to be unlocked before tuning software can write to it. Ship us the ECM and we send it back unlocked.

Emissions-legal tuning only
We unlock the E41 for tuning that keeps every emissions system in place and working: power, towing and transmission tunes that leave the DPF, DEF/SCR and EGR intact. We don't do deletes, and we won't unlock a module for one.
Works with the software your tuner uses
Tell us what your tuner works with when you start your order: HP Tuners VCM Suite, EFILive or another platform. Each one unlocks controllers its own way. Some we unlock on our bench. Others go through the software maker's official unlock or upgrade program, and we handle that for you. Your quote says which, and lists any vendor fee.

Unlocks start at $199. Depending on your software, some E41 unlocks go through the vendor's own program, and that fee is listed on your quote.

Common questions
Do you do delete tunes?
No. We don't do emissions-defeat programming, and we don't unlock modules for that purpose.
Do I still need HP Tuners credits?
Yes. An unlock lets the tuning software write to the module. It doesn't license the vehicle. Your tuner still buys credits or a license in their software as usual.
Do you also unlock the TCM?
Often, yes. Email us the part number from the TCM label and we'll confirm what your transmission needs. GM T87A units are covered on our T87A TCM unlock page.
Are you part of HP Tuners or EFILive?
No. We're an independent ASE-certified shop. We unlock and program modules so they work with the tuning software you already use.
